Schedule 10 refers to the wall thickness of the pipe. Schedule 10 has a relatively thin wall compared to higher schedules making it suitable for applications where high-pressure resistance is not a primary requirement.

316 STAINLESS STEEL

Stainless 316 belongs to the austenitic stainless steel family which is known for its corrosion resistance and versatility and is often a preferred choice over carbon steel pipe in low pressure installation. However, 316 stainless steel contains additional elements which enhance its corrosion resistance, especially in chloride-rich environments.
